Kay Gregory grew up in England. She moved to Canada with her parents as a teenager, and now lives with her husband near Vancouver, B.C. They have two sons, a daughter-in-law and a mini Australian shepherd called Riley who believes it's his job to herd anything that moves. Over the years Kay has co-habited with dogs, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rats and ferrets. She has had more jobs than she wants to count, which have often provided useful background for her stories.

Kay has written over 30 books, novellas and short stories, and considers herself lucky to have finally found a job she doesn't plan to change.
